Though on the start Kawasaki riders, for example, Florian Marino (Intermoto Ponyexpres Kawasaki), got ahead, but in the slow part of the track Sam overtook them on his R6. On the contrary, Vladimir Leonov had to make great efforts for regaining 10 positions as the Donington Park is much more narrow than track in Monza and there is only one wright trajectory in slow hairpins.
«Only in the morning we finished working with settings and during the warm-up I felt how works brakes in Donington. I was sure that could regain many positions during the race. And thought only about this when was on the start. This track is very difficult for overtakings. At the end I was very tired trying to get points for the team. It’s very important that I am getting closer with my bike after each race. I will try to get better results in Portimao and Imola.”, - said Vladimir Leonov.
