The UniBo Motorsport Team triumphs for the third consecutive year in the Electric category of the international competition reserved for engineering students

Un nuovo trionfo per la squadra di giovani ingegneri dell’Ateneo di Bologna, che in partnership con Fondazione Ducati  hanno visto il loro prototipo – Vega#88 – sbaragliare ancora la concorrenza nella speciale categoria Electric, confermando il titolo già vinto nel 2021 e 2023.

Superiorità schiacciante

La MotoStudent International Competition è la competizione mondiale che, ogni due anni, mette alla prova studenti di ingegneria sulle loro capacità tecniche, creative e collaborative, all’interno di un contesto altamente specializzato e competitivo. L’obiettivo è quello di progettare, realizzare e mettere in pista un prototipo di moto elettrica.

Quest’anno, nell’ottava edizione della kermesse, la sfida ha coinvolto 42 squadre provenienti da Università di tutto il mondo. Le consuete prove finali andate in scena sul circuito MotorLand di Aragòn in Spagna hanno visto una netta superiorità del team UniBo Motorsport, vincitore di diversi test di abilità, agilità e velocità.

Vega#88 è poi arrivata seconda nella gara “principe” in pista (pilota Alessio Aldrovandi) e si è portata a casa anche il premio per il miglior design, vincendo così la classifica definitiva come Best MotoStudent Team 2025.

SUPER NAKAGAMI , SUPER FRENTUBO!

Takaaki Nakagami produced a brilliant ride to take fifth place at the Italian Grand Prix, his best-ever finish in the MotoGP class. Starting from tenth on the grid, the LCR Honda IDEMITSU star was composed and consistent throughout as he finished as the top independent rider on a memorable day at Mugello.

Having struggled with his starts in previous rounds, Taka made a good getaway on Sunday as he moved into sixth position by the first corner. He remained part of the leading group for much of the race, before a group of four riders pulled clear at the front. But the LCR man showed impressive speed to move past his rivals in the battle for fifth and held that position to claim the most notable result of his career so far.

“It was an amazing day and an amazing race. I was really strong from the start and I know that this is a weak point for me. In all the races after a couple of laps I’ve dropped positions and then fight back in the middle and at the end. But today, I was really strong at the beginning of the race and then tried to keep the position. At the end I knew that (Maverick) Vinales was really pushing hard, but I never gave up and fought hard. It’s the best result for me, I was the second Honda and fifth place is amazing. I didn’t expect it, it’s a fantastic weekend for me and I want to thank the team who did a really great job all weekend, the bike worked really well.”

JORGE NAVARRO SI PRENDE IL TERZO PODIO CONSECUTIVO A LE MANS. BELLA RIMONTA DI DI GIANNANTONIO CHE TERMINA DODICESIMO IL GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE  

Il Lightech Speed Up team termina il weekend francese a pieni voti e saluta Le Mans con tanta soddisfazione per il terzo podio consecutivo di Jorge Navarro, secondo classificato, e l’ottima rimonta del compagno di box, Fabio Di Gannantonio, che raggiunge la zona punti con il dodicesimo piazzamento.

Dopo le qualifiche bagnate del sabato, i tecnici cambiano il setting delle moto perché, sebbene il cielo sia nuvoloso, si prospetta una gara asciutta. Il poleman Navarro, dopo una buona partenza perde qualche posizione e al primo giro è alle spalle di Vierge al quarto posto. A quasi metà gara Jorge è secondo, determinato a raggiungere Marquez. Qualche errore di guida toglie la possibilità al numero nove del Lightech Speed Up team di lottare per la vittoria, ma ancora una volta si aggiudica un meritatissimo secondo posto ed il giro veloce della gara in  1’36.764.

Fabio Di Giannantonio, ventesimo in griglia, affronta la gara con la determinazione e la consapevolezza di poter competere e ancora una volta dimostra la sua crescita alla guida della Speed Up tagliando il traguardo dodicesimo.

JORGE NAVARRO#9 – 2°

“Sono davvero molto contento di questo weekend, soprattutto perché Le Mans è un circuito che mi ha sempre creato un po’ di problemi in questa categoria. Dopo le prove del venerdì in cui non avevamo un buon feeling con la moto, siamo stati davvero bravi, io ed il mio staff, a capire come risolvere i problemi e a fare quindi la pole sul bagnato. Questa mattina, con pista asciutta, abbiamo fatto delle modifiche al setting e durante il warm up ho capito che potevamo lottare per la vittoria. Mi spiace per gli errori che ho commesso sempre alla stessa curva, la 8, senza i quali potevamo raggiungere la prima posizione, ma siamo comunque riusciti ad arrivare secondi e a prenderci il terzo podio consecutivo. Siamo super contenti, venti punti in più e terzo posto in classifica!”

FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO#21 – 12°

“Sono contento perché è stata una gara abbastanza insidiosa e dopo un weekend complicato siamo riusciti a fare bene. Partire dalla ventesima posizione non è stato facile ma ho dato il massimo e sono riuscito a recuperare un po’ di posizioni. Dobbiamo lavorare meglio nelle sessioni di libere e in qualifica per cercare di partire più avanti e poi migliorare soprattutto nella prima parte della gara dove siamo stati un po’ lenti”.

“I’m happy because it was a pretty tricky race and after a complicated weekend we managed to do well. QUARTARARO SIGILLA UNA VITTORIA ECCEZIONALE AL GRAN PREMIO MONSTER ENERGY

Il pilota del team HDR Heidrun-Speed ​​Up Racing, Fabio Quartararo, ha portato a termine un perfetto weekend racing al Circuito di Montmeló-Barcelona correndo la gara più forte della sua carriera nel Campionato del Mondo Moto2.

Prima di iniziare la gara, ho parlato con Eros, il mio capo squadra, e ci siamo prefissati l’obiettivo di finire nelle prime cinque posizioni. Ma in pista avevo ottime sensazioni ed un passo gara costante, quindi ho potuto spingere. Ringrazio davvero moltissimo tutta la mia squadra per come stiamo lavorando da inizio stagione e la mia famiglia per essere sempre al mio fianco. Non vedo l’ora di andare ad Assen per il prossimo Gran Premio!”

DANNY KENT#52– 21°

“Un altro weekend difficile per me e la mia squadra. Ho fatto una brutta partenza e sono rimasto bloccato con alcuni piloti più lenti nei primi giri. Una volta superati, son riuscito ad impostare il mio ritmo e quasi a raggiungere il gruppo davanti che in ogni caso non è dove vogliamo stare. Spero risolveremo i problemi nella prossima gara e congratulazioni al mio compagno di squadra e al suo team per la grande vittoria”.

QUARTARARO SEALS SUPERB VICTORY AT THE GRAND PREMI MONSTER ENERGY DE CATALUNYA

HDR Heidrun-Speed ​​Up Racing team rider Fabio Quartararo highlighted his perfect race weekend at Circuito de Montmeló-Barcelona today and rode the strongest race of his career in the Moto2 World Championship.

JEREZ - Ennesimo centro per Jonathan Rea su Kawasaki, che fa doppietta in Spagna per la tappa della Superbike, vincendo anche Gara 2: il campione in carica e dominatore della stagione chiude al traguardo con oltre due secondi su Marco Melandro su Ducati. L'italiano a tre giri dal termine riesce a sorpassare il compagno di scuderia Chaz Davies e a conquistare la seconda piazza, non gli basta però per recuperare su Rea. A fine giri quarto Sam Lowes, quinta piazza per l'altra Kawasaki di Tom Sykes, dopo il titolo a Rea la casa giapponese può festeggiare anche il titolo costruttori in anticipo.

Magny Cours (Francia), 04 ottobre 2015 Si conclude il penultimo appuntamento della stagione 2015 del Campionato Mondiale eni FIM Superbike sul tracciato francese di Magny Cours. Niccolò Canepa chiude con un decimo posto in gara 1 e un settimo in gara 2, mentreMatteo Baiocco si piazza settimo nella prima manche e 11mo nella seconda. Giornata difficile già dalle prime ore del mattino dove i piloti hanno affrontato un warm up bagnato a causa della pioggia scesa durante la notte. Tra l'altro sessione terminata in anticipo a causa di una caduta con conseguente perdita di olio da parte di un altro pilota. Tutto ritardato e warm up cancellati per le atre categorie. In gara 1 i piloti sono scesi in pista con le coperture da bagnato anche se la pioggia non si è più fatta vedere. Partenza cauta per non incappare in qualche errore per Baiocco, che nonostante partisse un po' arretrato in griglia è stato autore di una splendida rimonta. Dopo un bel recupero e una serie di sorpassi perfetti si è trovato costretto a gestire l'usura degli pneumatici negli ultimi giri e ha terminato la gara al settimo posto. Sfortunato Canepa che ha dovuto gestire un problema tecnico che lo ha rallentato durante tutta la gara. Niccolò che partiva dalla prima fila si è visto costretto a limitare i danni concludendo comunque nella top 10. In gara 2 le condizioni meteo sono migliorate e le temperature si sono alzate. Altro set up e altri pneumatici e questa volta Canepa è stato autore di una buona gara in cui si è mantenuto sempre nel gruppo dei primi. Passa sotto la bandiera a scacchi in settima posizione finale. In gara 2 invece Baiocco è debilitato da un problema fisico (probabilmente un virus intestinale) che lo fa soffrire e stringendo i denti termina con l'11mo tempo, andando a consolidare la sua ottava posizione in classifica generale. Termina oggi anche il Campionato Mondiale Superstock dove il nostro Raffaele De Rosa è stato protagonista di una gara difficile ma piena di emozioni. Dopo le qualifiche di ieri, Raffaele partiva dalla nona casella in griglia e già dai primi giri inizia a rimontare posizioni importanti fino a conquistare la testa della corsa che mantiene per alcuni giri. Purtroppo nella rimonta ha dovuto utilizzare gli pneumatici più del normale e ha subito un calo improvviso degli stessi. Viene sopravanzato al penultimo giro da Guarnoni e Calia concludendo al terzo posto. Sesto podio stagionale per lui in otto gare e terzo in classifica generale nel Campionato Mondiale Superstock 1000. Matteo Baiocco: “Una domenica positiva per me. In gara 1 mi sono davvero divertito, avevo un ottimo assetto sul bagnato e ho fatto una bella gara. Nel finale un calo delle gomme mi ha costretto a gestire la situazione e ho terminato settimo ma sono contento della mia prestazione. In gara 2 non ho fatto benissimo anche perchè ero debilitato da un virus. Ora ci aspetta il Qatar e voglio fare il massimo nell'ultima gara dell'anno”. Niccolò Canepa: “Nel complesso sono soddisfatto della prestazione del weekend dove sono rimasto costantemente nei primi. Purtroppo in gara 1 sono stato rallentato da un problema tecnico che mi ha fatto soffrire tutto il tempo. Mi spiace perchè avevo la possibilità di fare molto bene. In gara 2 ho tenuto un ottimo passo e ho concluso settimo, un buon risultato. Ora andiamo a Doha dove cercherò di concludere in bellezza la stagione”. Raffaele De Rosa: “La gara è stata molto difficile perchè partivo da una posizione in griglia un po' arretrata. Ho fatto parecchi giri in testa e ce lo messa tutta per vincere la gara. Non è stato facile anche se ho lottato fino alla fine. Voglio ringraziare il mio team, Genesio Bevilacqua, la mia famiglia per aver creduto in me e per la grande possibilità che mi è stata data questa stagione”.

In race 1 I really had fun, I had a great wet set-up and completed a good race. In the final stages a drop in tyre performance forced me to manage the situation and I closed seventh but I’m pleased with how I did. In race 2 I didn’t do so well also because I was feeling unwell. Now we focus on Qatar where I want to do as well as possible in the final races of the year.” Niccolò Canepa: “Overall I’m satisfied with my performance this weekend, as I was constantly among the frontrunners. Unfortunately in race 1 I was slowed down by a technical problem that really made me suffer. I’m sorry because I could have done very well. In race 2 I maintained a strong pace to close seventh, a good result. Now we go to Doha where I’ll try to close the season on a high.” Raffaele De Rosa: “The race was very difficult because I was started from further back on the grid. I held the lead for several laps and did all I could to win the race. It wasn’t easy even though I fought all the way to the end.
